Most of your Students Dress Half Naked- Nasarawa Polytechnic Community tells Rector

The People of the Tammah community in Nasarawa local government area of Nasarawa state has drawn the attention of the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa on the indecent and half naked dressing by female students of the institution.

The community in an open letter directed to the rector urged the management of the Polytechnic to Cushion her students to dress decently adding that the mannerless dressing of the Polytechnic students could affect the home training given to their children in the community.

The letter in part reads,

“The Community is worried about the half-naked dressing exhibited among your students as it is capable of destroying the training we are giving to our children in the Community. We are therefore requesting you to call them in order not to destroy our cultural heritage…

“The Community wish to sincerely appreciate you for your immense contributions to the Community Police/ Vigilante in the control of cultic actives and other social vices perpetrated by your student’s resident in Tammah.”

The Chairman of the Tammah community Mr Abubakar confirmed to POLY TV that necessary measures have been put in place to check indecent dressing in the Polytechnic community urging the rector to address the students regarding the matter.

He said, “Measures have been put in place by the Community through the Community Police/Vigilante to check this indecent dressing. It is our hope that you will use your good Office to call the students to order in order to avoid being embarrassed by the security outfits.”
