Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has eight schools and 34 academic departments with a total of seventy accredited programmes, across ND,HND and Post-HND levels. The College also offers certificate courses.

YABATECH offers B.Sc (Ed) courses in Technical and Vocational Education, Postgraduate Diplomas in Engineering, Urban & Regional Planning. The programmes are run in conjunction with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the Federal University of Technology, Akure. The student population which is made up of both full-time and part-time students is in the range of 15,000, while the staff strength is 2063.

YABA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY (YABATECH) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

The following are the general entry requirements approved for admission into the institution.

• Candidates who chose YABATECH as their preferred choice of institution during the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Registration Registration

• Candidate must have a minimum JAMB and/or the institutional cut-off marks or higher for the programmes applied.

• Candidates are also required to obtain the required O’level credits for their programmes as specified in JAMB Brochure.

• HND applicants must have obtained a minimum of lower credit in National Diploma (ND) level and 5 credit passes in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in Olevel.  Candidates with PASS maybe considered for admission with evidence of two years industrial training.
