By Comrade Adeniji Boluwaji, NAPS Deputy Senate President
The ASUP Strike as caused lot damages to the Polytechnic students in Nigeria, which Federal Government didn’t pay attention to, the Polytechnic students has not recovered from the covid 19 Lockdown , the last the last ASUP National Strike that lasted for three (3) months in 2021, whereas students are spending 4 to 5 years for a 2 years programs and the Nigeria Government has been playing with Destiny of Polytechnic Students which is bad, Jeopardizing the Progress and and Development of our Dear Country.
The ASUP Strike as shown that Nigeria Government has no value for Education because if the Government have value for Education they will not signed MoU with ASUP and refused to work with the agreement, they all have 100millions of Naira to Purchase APC Intent Forms and Campaign Vehicle but can’t resolve the lingering ASUP Strike.

And since Nigeria Government has not learn from the EndSars protest because students that were at home then because of strike has the highest number of Participants in EndSars protest just because ASUU and ASUP are on Strike.
Now ASUU are on Strike and ASUP are also planning to go another Strike because the government failed to Fulfill her Part on the agreement.
The Leadership of NAPS has been pleading with the Minister of Education and Nigeria Government to do needful before now because the students will not tolerate this Nonsense from the Government any longer.

If ASUP embarked on another strike actions now after they wasted a whole year on this Same issue ,with negative Effects on Students, delayed on graduation, unbalanced academic calendar and non-challant attitude among staffs and students which has resulted in poor academic Performance society and Country at large.
We are warning the Federal Government to desist from this non challant attitude towards our Lecturers , because we are not going to allow any Political Gathering or whosoever to go on until our Lecturers are been given Audience.
