Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade Revised Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Second Semester
The Academic Planning Unit of The Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade has officially released the reviewed academic calendar for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session. This release outlines critical dates and academic activities for all levels, including ND I, ND II, HND I, and HND II students.
According to the calendar, the first semester holiday break varies for different categories of students, beginning as early as March 27th, 2025, and ending for all groups by May 2nd, 2025. Academic activities for the new semester resume in stages from April 7th through May 5th, 2025.
Course registration is scheduled to run concurrently with lectures over a three-week period, also staggered across various academic levels. The lecture period itself spans 12 weeks, followed by a week-long revision and subsequently the examination period from July 14th to August 8th, 2025.

Highlighting extracurricular engagement, the SUG/Association Week is set for June 23rd to June 27th, while staff will participate in an endurance trek on June 25th. Religious holidays such as Good Friday, Easter, Eid-El-Fitri, and Eid-El-Kabir have also been duly recognized in the calendar.
Other significant dates include the commencement of SIWES and Industrial Training in September 2025 and the Convocation Week from October 27th to October 31st, 2025.
Students are advised to take note of the schedule and plan accordingly to ensure a smooth academic experience.
