Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana Releases Second Semester Academic Calendar for 2024/2025

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana has officially released the approved academic calendar for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session. Students are expected to return to campus on Monday, May 19, 2025, when lectures and registration will also commence.

The calendar outlines key academic events from the end of the first semester through to project defence and the start of the SIWES programme. Departmental, school, and academic board meetings are spread across the semester to ensure proper academic coordination.

Orientation for ND1 students under the School of Engineering and Technology Education (ENTE/Ed) will be held on June 23, 2025. Registration officially ends by June 27.

Departmental tests will take place between July 14 and 18, while lecturers are expected to submit exam papers and marking guides by July 25.

Students’ Week will run from July 28 to August 8, followed by a week of revision. Second semester examinations begin August 18 and conclude on August 30, signaling the start of the long vacation and SIWES programme.

Final year students will defend their projects between September 16 and 19, 2025.

The management urges students to adhere to this calendar and prepare accordingly to avoid missing important activities and deadlines.
