Federal Polytechnic Ukana Engineering Students Take Insightful Excursion
Engineering students from the Department of Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Ukana recently went on an eye-opening excursion. Led by their lecturers, the students visited local manufacturing facilities and work sites to see engineering principles in action.

Engineering students from the Department of Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Ukana recently went on an eye-opening excursion. Led by their lecturers, the students visited local manufacturing facilities and work sites to see engineering principles in action.
“The excursion was invaluable,” said the Head of the Department of Engineering. “Immersing themselves in professional settings allowed students to apply their academic knowledge and gain real-world perspective.”
During the excursion, students engaged directly with site engineers and technicians, asking questions and learning about day-to-day industry challenges. This interaction provided a realistic look at their future careers.
This hands-on learning opportunity reflects Federal Polytechnic Ukana’s commitment to producing skilled graduates. Students returned energized, with a deeper appreciation for putting their studies into practical application.
