Federal Polytechnic Ugep Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME Registration for ND, HND, and Part-Time Programmes

Prospective students seeking admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, Cross River State, for the 2025/2026 academic session can now begin registration for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening.

According to the institution’s management, the registration exercise starts on July 14, 2025, and will close on September 30, 2025.

Programmes Available

The Polytechnic is offering admission into various full-time National Diploma (ND) programmes, including:

• Architectural Technology
  
• Civil Engineering
  
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  
• Library and Information Science
  
• Accountancy
  
• Business Administration
  
• Hospitality and Tourism
  
• Public Administration
  

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
  
• Have written the 2025 UTME and scored 100 and above.
  
• Upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS.
  
• Select Federal Polytechnic Ugep as their first choice institution.
  
• Pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000, either via Remitta using GIFMIS CODE 0517018031 or at the Polytechnic’s Bursary Department.
  

Candidates must also possess a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and other subjects relevant to their chosen course.

Those who did not initially select the Polytechnic as their first choice can still apply, provided they update their institution of choice on the JAMB portal before the registration deadline.

Part-Time Programmes

The Polytechnic also offers part-time National Diploma programmes in all courses listed above. Part-time ND programmes run for six semesters (three years), in line with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) guidelines.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Admission

Applications are also open for full-time HND programmes for the 2025/2026 session. Available HND courses include:

• Networking and Cloud Computing
  

Interested HND candidates must:

• Have five relevant O’Level credits.
  
• Possess a National Diploma certificate.
  
• Complete a one-year compulsory Industrial Training.
  

The cost of the HND application form is ₦7,000.
