Eid Joy on Campus: WUFPBK Rector Donates Cow, Buses for Students’ Celebration

In a heartwarming display of leadership and generosity, the Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi (WUFPBK), Dr. Usman Sani Tunga, has gifted a large cow to students on campus in celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
The gesture, which added excitement and cheer to the festive mood, underscores Dr. Tunga’s commitment to student welfare and his consistent support for the well-being of the campus community. Many students who remained on campus for the Sallah holidays were able to enjoy a communal celebration, thanks to the Rector’s thoughtful contribution.
In addition to the cow donation, Dr. Tunga also approved the release of the institution’s buses to transport students to and from the Eid prayer ground, ensuring a safe and stress-free commute during the festivities.
Students and staff have expressed deep appreciation for the Rector’s fatherly concern and compassion. His actions, they say, reflect the true essence of Eid-el-Kabir—sacrifice, generosity, and unity.
“This act of kindness brought joy to the hearts of students and strengthened the bond within our campus community,” said a staff member. “It’s leadership like this that gives students a sense of belonging and shows they are truly cared for.”
The polytechnic community extends its gratitude to Dr. Tunga and wishes all staff and students a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
