Auchi Polytechnic Holds Inter-Religious Prayer for Peace, Successful Examinations and Students’ Union Elections

Auchi Polytechnic has held an inter-religious prayer programme aimed at promoting peace, unity, and a conducive academic environment as the institution prepares for key academic and administrative activities.
The prayer session, organized by the management of the Polytechnic, took place on Wednesday at the institution’s Main Auditorium and brought together members of staff from both the Christian and Muslim faiths to seek divine guidance, protection, and blessings for the institution and the nation.
The programme was held under the leadership of the Rector, Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar, who was represented by the Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. Engr. Edith Oyati.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Oyati reaffirmed the management’s commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and institutional growth. She stated that the inter-religious prayer initiative reflects the Polytechnic’s recognition of the important role of spiritual support in achieving academic excellence and sustainable institutional development.
Special prayers were offered for lasting peace and stability across the campus, the successful and peaceful conduct of the forthcoming Students’ Union Government (SUG) elections, the welfare and prosperity of staff members, and continued peace, unity, and national progress in Nigeria.
Participants also prayed for divine guidance as the institution approaches the end of the second semester, with examinations and other major academic and administrative activities scheduled to take place.
The event was attended by the Registrar, Mrs. F. I. Eshiotse, the Director of the Public Relations Division, Dr. Mrs. Angela Egele, the Polytechnic Librarian, principal officers, directors, and other members of staff.
The management of Auchi Polytechnic expressed appreciation to all participants for their commitment and support, reaffirming its dedication to initiatives that promote harmony, inclusiveness, staff welfare, and the continuous advancement of the institution.
