Applications Now Open for NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2025 (₦250,000 Annual Award)

The 2025 edition of the NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme is now open for applications. This opportunity is available to eligible Nigerian undergraduates currently enrolled in recognized universities across the country.

This annual scholarship is a collaborative initiative between Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and their co-venture partners. The program is designed to support academic excellence and foster the development of young Nigerian talents by providing financial support throughout the duration of their university education.

About the Scholarship

The NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding Nigerian students who are in their second year of undergraduate study. Successful candidates receive a ₦250,000 yearly grant from their second year until the end of their academic program—provided they maintain academic excellence.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the 2025 NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Nigerian citizen.
  
• Currently enrolled in a full-time program at a Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
  
• Be in 200 level (second year) at the time of application.
  
• Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent in other grading systems).
  
• Not currently benefiting from any other scholarship sponsored by the oil and gas industry (either nationally or internationally).
  

Scholarship Benefits

• ₦250,000 per academic year for each selected awardee.
  
• Continues annually until graduation, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic performance.
  

Required Documents

Applicants are expected to provide scanned copies of the following documents:

1. Recent passport photograph (JPEG format, max 200 KB).
   
2. University or JAMB admission letter.
   
3. UTME result slip.
   
4. O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
   
5. ‘A’ Level, OND, or NCE results (if applicable).
   
6. State of Origin certificate or letter of identification indicating the local government of origin.
   
7. Official academic transcript or result showing CGPA after first year (i.e., two semesters completed).
   
8. Signed Government Official Declaration Form (mandatory for all applicants).
