AKWAPOLY RECTOR BAGS NANS BEST RECTOR AWARD
– commends them for organizing symposium
The Rector, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, Barr. Moses Umobong on Wednesday bagged Best Performing Rector, National Association of Nigerian Student (NANS) Zone B for his outstanding sterling leadership qualities since assumption of office
The award was presented during the NANS ZONE B SENATE MEETING/MAIDEN STUDENTS SYMPOSIUM with the theme “SURVIVING THE UNCERTAIN TIME” held on Wednesday November 5th at the school institution. He thanked the organizers of the event for the careful selection of the theme especially at a time like this.
Barr. Moses thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for the relative peace in the state describing the institution as one of the best in the country and appreciated the NANS executives for accepting the institution to be the host of the maiden event.
The Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga experienced happiness to the leadership of NANS for making Akwa Ibom State proud and adviced the students on the need for them to accept mentors whom they can learn positive things from.
Attendees at the event include the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Professor Eno Ibanga, Rector, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Barr. Moses Umobong, Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Matters, Comrade Akwaowo Clifford Ukpong, Dean, Students Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umoh, Cordinator NANS ZONE B, Comr Etinyene Friday Offongekpe, Universal NANS President, Comrade Chidi Illogebe, NANS executives amongst others.
