Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State Inaugurates SUE/SRC for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The prestigious Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State, inaugurated the leadership of the Students Union Government (SUG) for the 2024/2025 academic session yesterday, October 4th, 2024.
The event took place at the Institution’s BOS Chamber and was attended by prominent members of the Management team, led by Acting Rector, Dr. Gbade Akinteye, along with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and both past and present SUE/SRC members.
The official swearing-in of the SUG executives was conducted by the Acting Registrar Mr. Dele Oladipo, who took the opportunity to advise the student leadership to steer clear of disruptive activities.
In his welcome speech, Dr. Akinteye commended the outgoing student union executives for their support and dedication to maintaining the institution’s positive image. He encouraged the newly inaugurated executives to avoid actions that could tarnish the Institution’s reputation.
Dr. Akinteye remarked, “On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, and Staff of this great citadel of learning, I congratulate you all on your emergence into various positions in the recently concluded students’ union elections. A legacy of free and fair elections has been established in this Institution, and I believe it will continue.”
“Now that you’ve been inaugurated, the tasks ahead are significant. I urge you to carry out your duties diligently for the progress of this Institution. Remember, your academics remain your primary objective here.”
He further emphasized the Institution’s commitment to maintaining a stable academic calendar and encouraged the new leadership to follow the path of progress without succumbing to external pressures.
The newly inaugurated Students Union President, Com. Kabeer Idris Olamilekan, expressed gratitude to the Institution’s Management for their visionary leadership and dedication to its development. He stated, “I want to thank Almighty God for this opportunity and the strength to lead. I also appreciate the management team, ably led by Dr. Akinteye, for ensuring the smooth running of the Institution.”
He assured the Management of the students’ union’s continued support and promised to work collaboratively to enhance the student experience. “As I begin my journey as Students Union President, I emphasize unity. We are all here to learn and grow, and only through unity can we push for meaningful change.”
He concluded by thanking his family, friends, and supporters, pledging to lead with integrity, fairness, and transparency.

The swearing-in ceremony concluded with a call for a harmonious relationship between the Management and the students’ union, setting the stage for a successful academic session.
