Adebayo Advocates More Leadership ROLES for Women at Inauguration of New WITED Executives

The Provost, College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, Dr.(Mrs.) Cecilia Adebayo, has stressed the need for women to be supportive of the female folk in leadership positions, in order to create a blissful and progressive society.
While addressing senior female staff of the institution at the college remedial hall, Dr. Adebayo noted that women have crucial roles to play in the development of any organization and the society at large.
She further charged women in establishments, agencies and organizations to embrace positive values including; punctuality, comportment, note taking among others.
At the meeting which featured the nomination, appointment and official inauguration of a new set of executives for the Women In Technical Education and Development (WITED), COHESTI chapter, the Provost called on Female Staff of the College to offer them the needed support.
Earlier, Dr. Adebayo had earlier appreciated the outgoing and pioneer COHESTI WITED Executives led by Dr.(Mrs.) Modupe Ogunrinde for laying a good foundation for the body.
The newly inaugurated WITED has Mrs Omotola Awe as Coordinator and Mrs Bose Makanjuola as Assistant Coordinator.
Others are; Mrs Bolanle Osadiola – Treasurer, Mrs Adijat Olatokun – Financial Secretary, and Mrs Mayowa Oluwatuyi – Public Relations Officer.

The programme afforded the Provost, the opportunity to announce the formation of another association, “Organization of Women In Science”, which she noted would have only the academic staff as members.
