RECTOR MOURNS KAURA, CALLS HIM TRUE PATRIOT

The Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic,
Talata Mafara, Dr. Shaayau Shehu Mafara, Turakin Mafara, Founder of Imani Foundation, has mourned the death of Sanusi Halilu Kaura, a student affairs and NYSC officer.
Mr. Kaura, who died in captivity after being kidnapped along the Kaduna-Abuja road a month ago. Kaura’s death was confirmed by the management as a rude shock.
In a condolence message, the rector expressed his commiserations to the deceased’s family and staff of the institution, describing him as a true patriot and dedicated civil servant.
He noted that Kaura not only identified himself in service but also contributed consciously to the development of the institution for many years, which he did diligently, as well as the host community and the state at large.
Turakin Mafara, encouraged staff members and his family to take heart and have faith in God, in what he described as “trying time”
While condoling with the families, friends and associates of the late astute Kaura, the Registrar of the institution Mr. Kabiru Musa prayed for God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
“A good & loyal man, a warrior, who lived a good life, a life of commitment and decorum, has passed away,” praying to God to “grant you Jannatul firdaous.”

In his remark, on behalf of the decease family, Engineer Sanusi Yau Kaura, the institution’s former rector, described the late Sanusi Halilu as a man of prowess who is dedicated and trustworthy, and he will be greatly missed at the institution.
“We are proud of many public figures who attended the funeral prayer. We are indeed grateful to every one. Look at how crowded the mosque was like on Eid day”
