NAPS GIVES UPDATE ON ASUP STRIKE

The President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comrade Kingsley Asiegbu, has call for calm among polytechnic students in the country stressing that the Academic staff union of polytechnic (ASUP) has not declared strike yet thereby advising students to continue with their academic activities.
The President said, that The Union(ASUP) will meet with Federal government on Monday 9th May 2022 and prayed for positive outcome.
“We are waiting for the Outcome of FG/ASUP Meeting to know the Next line of action” the president added.
Similarly, ASUP – Kaduna polytechnic chapter held a meeting (Not NEC) today as they deliberate on the 1 month ultimatum among others. The local chapter also shared ASUP constitution (Amended) to some of its members.

It was clarified that the meeting with Federal government next week Monday would determine the way forward.
