Apply Now: 2025 NNPC–Renaissance JV University Scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates

Applications are now open for the 2025 NNPC–Renaissance JV University Scholarship, a prestigious program aimed at supporting outstanding Nigerian students in their academic journey. Sponsored by the Renaissance African Energy Company, in partnership with NNPC, TotalEnergies, and AENR, this scholarship provides annual financial support throughout the duration of a student’s undergraduate studies.
This initiative promotes educational excellence and helps equip young Nigerians with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.
Scholarship Categories
There are two categories available under this merit-based scholarship:
- National Merit Award (NM): Open to all eligible Nigerian undergraduate students.
- Areas of Operation Merit Award: Exclusively for students who are indigenes of the company’s operational communities in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Be enrolled full-time in a recognized and accredited Nigerian university
- Currently be in 200 Level, having gained admission in the 2023/2024 academic session
- Not be a recipient of any other scholarship from companies in the oil and gas sector
Required Documents
All applicants must upload clear scanned copies of the following:
- UTME (JAMB) result
- University or JAMB admission letter
- O’Level result (WAEC/NECO)
- 100 Level academic transcript
- A-Level result (for direct entry students)
- Passport photograph (recent, not older than four months)
- State of origin identification letter showing local government
In addition to the above, applicants applying under the Areas of Operation Merit Award must also submit:
- A letter of identification from the community’s Paramount Ruler
- A letter signed and stamped by the Chairman or Secretary of the Community Executive Council (CEC) or Community Development Council (CDC)
Important Notes
The application process is free. No payment is required at any stage. Applicants are strongly advised not to deal with any agent or individual claiming to represent Renaissance or its partners. Only applications submitted via the official Renaissance African Energy Company website will be considered.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a proctored computer-based test. Only those who succeed at each stage of the selection process will be contacted.
Application Timeline
- Opening Date: June 20, 2025
- Closing Date: July 25, 2025
How to Apply
Eligible students should visit the official scholarship portal of Renaissance African Energy Company to complete and submit their application. All necessary documents should be prepared and uploaded during the process.
