OGITECH BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION STUDENT DISPLAYS EXCEPTIONAL ART SKILL
Ridwan Adewole, of the Business Administration Department, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa has been described as an exemplary Nigerian student.
Adewole who presented a pencil drawing of the Rector, Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke Olanike Akinkurolere FNSE to her on Thursday 15th of October, 2020 said he discovered his flair for arts very early in life and trained at Aparadija Ayobo, Ogun State after completing his primary school education.
He said he downloaded the Rector’s picture from the Institute’s website (www.ogitech.edu.ng), and took it upon himself to do a pencil sketch of her, to appreciate her efforts at always working towards making OGITECH an Institute to reckon with in terms of quality tertiary education.
Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Akinkurolere commended Adewole for his initiative and for exploring the gift that God has given him.
The Rector who received the artwork in her office commended Adewole for being a creative student of the Institute and for utilizing his skills.
She expressed optimism that the future of the Nigerian youth is bright as they have continued to develop skills that will make them financially independent in the nearest future. According to her, students who tap into their creativity will not need to hope on white collar jobs only, to make ends meet.
She further enjoined OGITECH students to take advantage of and utilize the skills acquired from the Institute’s Entrepreneurship Programmes so they can have a sound foundation to fall back on after their ND or HND Programmes.
Also at the presentation was the Dean of Students Affairs, Mr Oluyemi Odutola FCA.
