VC Tasks University Women To Embrace Integrity And Ethical Conducts In Their Workplaces

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman has tasked female staff working in the University to imbibe the culture of integrity, moral and ethical conducts in their Workplaces and in the home-front and also to be ready at all times to handle any responsibility that may be assigned to them.
Professor Sa’adatu made the remark while speaking during a congratulatory reception organized by the Centre for Gender Studies with the active collaboration of both teaching and non teaching women of the University which took place at the Assembly Hall of the University on Monday 29th April 2024.
Professor Sa’adatu while thanking the women for organising the Congratulatory reception in her honor charged the women to take a front row in the fight against immorality and unethical conducts among their children at home and students in the University. She further noted that as career women they should be ready to juggle the acts of balancing the home front and their professional careers.
Earlier in her remarks, the Acting Director of the Centre for Gender Studies, Dr. Hauwa’u Mainoma said her centre and the female staff of the University decided to organise the Congratulatory reception to express their gratitude to the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule for appointing Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University, a move she described as unprecedented in the history of the University.

Dr. Hauwa’u Mainoma while pledging the full support of the female staff of the University, expressed her confidence in the new Vice-Chancellor to move the University to greater heights. She also expressed her hopes that the new administration will be helpful in achieving their set goals.
The event featured Solidarity messages from the former Deputy Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies Professor Dinatu Iwala, the Head of the Legal Unit, Jennifer Shaku Ibi and the former Head of Department of Public Administration Dr. Becky Aliegba.
