The role of an aircraft engineer involves the application of scientific and technological principles to the research, development and design of aircraft and their components.
Aircraft engineers research design specifications for aircraft and the relevant support equipment. The role sometimes involves the assembly, testing and modification of these components.
Polytechnics that offer ND/HND Aircraft Engineering Technology are:
- Nigerian College of AVIATION Technology, ZARIA
- Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from:
- Biology/Agricultural Science Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics
