2026 Prophecies: Prophet Michael Oba Oro Urges Nigerians to Pray Against Crisis

A popular Ekiti-based cleric, Bishop Dr. Michael Oba Oro, has called on Nigerians to pray fervently ahead of the year 2026, warning of challenging times and major national developments.
The General Overseer of the Good Rock of Salvation Spiritual Church of Christ Aladura made the call while releasing his 2026 prophecies during the church’s crossover service held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Speaking at the service, themed “God of Fulfilment 2026,” the prophet urged citizens to intensify prayers for the nation, stating that the coming year would require spiritual alertness and unity.
Prophecies on Nigeria’s Future
According to Bishop Oba Oro, his prophecies for 2026 include warnings of disruptions that could affect daily life and public gatherings across the country. He said he foresaw what he described as a “storm,” which could lead to restrictions on movement and large gatherings, adding that Nigerians should pray against any situation capable of forcing people indoors.
The cleric also warned of rising tensions before the next presidential election, urging prayers to prevent instability and violence. He claimed to have seen the emergence of a new group that could pose a security threat greater than Boko Haram, calling on Nigerians to pray against war and insecurity.
He further stated that 2026 would be a period of major social pressure, predicting public protests driven by hardship and frustration among poorer citizens. According to him, certain laws introduced from the top could trigger widespread dissatisfaction and demonstrations.
Despite the warnings, Bishop Oba Oro said 2026 would also be a year of divine intervention, during which God would “reset and rearrange Nigeria.”
Messages Concerning Politicians
The prophet warned that political leaders would face intense public scrutiny in 2026. He claimed that growing frustration among citizens could lead to protests directly confronting politicians, with scenes of rejected leadership decisions and open resistance.
He added that some political authorities might attempt to silence dissent in certain states but would be unable to do so, as, according to him, “one strong voice” would rise in opposition.
Warnings for Christians and Churches
Bishop Oba Oro also spoke on religious matters, urging Christians and church leaders to pray against any events that could lead to the shutdown of crusades, revivals, and large worship gatherings. He claimed Christians would be particularly affected by these challenges, though other religious groups could also feel the impact.
He advised ministers of the gospel to focus more on prayer than financial pursuits in 2026, describing the year as a critical spiritual season.
Ekiti State and Economic Outlook
On a positive note, the cleric said he foresaw peace in Ekiti State throughout 2026. He also predicted economic opportunities for self-employed individuals, artisans, and small business owners, describing the year as one of upliftment for people engaged in handwork and entrepreneurship.
Advice to Government and Citizens
Bishop Oba Oro advised the government to act decisively, stating that those unwilling to serve should step aside. For Nigerians, he emphasized constant prayer against war, unrest, and policies that could negatively affect housing and property ownership, warning that certain laws could turn landlords into tenants if care is not taken.
Scriptural Watchword for 2026
The prophet announced Isaiah 40:31 as the watchword for 2026, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful and spiritually resilient. He described the coming year as “My Year of Fulfilment 2026.”
The prophecies, he said, were delivered as a spiritual warning and call to prayer, urging Nigerians to seek peace, unity, and divine guidance as the nation approaches 2026.
