Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti (ADOPOLY), 2022/2023 POST-UTME and HND Admission: 11 Things You Should Know

The time we all waited for has come as the management of The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, commences admission exercise and the sale of application forms for POST UTME Screening and HND fulltime and evening programmes for the 2022/2023 session.

Pending the RELEASE OF ADMISSION LIST, POLYTV would love to advise you (aspirants) to take your time and read these admission tips to guide you during your post UTME screening, HND registration and some other important tips.

A lot of students make mistakes whenever they are registering for the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti post-UTME and HND form online. This article will shed light on the mistakes and corrections to them.

1. ALL OF YOUR NAMES MUST TALLY.

This is the most common error aspirants make when registering for post-UTME. Wrongful registration of names will result in disqualification. What does this mean? It simply means if the name you used during your O’level and JAMB registration is “John Paul,” then you must use the same name during your Post UTME screening, that is “John Paul.” If you register as “Paul John”, you will be disqualified. Thus, make sure that your name and the age you entered during your O’level and Jamb registration are tallied.

POST UTME is not like JAMB which allow you to correct your mistakes after you have successfully registered. So, you have to be very careful when registering online so that you won’t be disqualified at the point of clearance. The polytechnic CICT can still rectify this, but this error can affect your chance of gaining admission, so don’t make this mistake.

2. INPUT YOUR CORRECT O’LEVEL RESULT.

During your online registration, make sure you provide the correct registration numbers for your O’level result and grades, respectively. Because Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti does not conduct entrance examinations, it uses O’level with the combination of JAMB results to screen students. Therefore, ensure that you glance through your registration details before you submit the application form online.

3. ONLINE PAYMENT FOR POST-UTME REGISTRATION.

This is sometimes a big problem for aspirants who are registering for the post UTME online because you will be asked to pay some fee for the registration. I will advise you to do your registration in a cybercafe where you know it is safe. Don’t take the risk of paying online with your smartphone. We have received complaints from aspirants in the past about not receiving RRR pins after the money was deducted from their bank account. So, it would be best for you to register at a well-known cyber cafe to put you on the safe side.

4. BEFORE REGISTERING ONLINE, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

I will advise you to read the guidelines and admission eligibility before registering so as to avoid any mistakes that could cost you your chance of being admitted this year. Eligibility means the requirements for admission. So, you need to check the school website for the correct subject combination for your course/department to know if you are qualified or not.

5. MAKE FPA YOUR FIRST CHOICE BEFORE OBTAINING THE FORM.

In most cases, FPA usually gives admission to candidates who make the institution their first choice. Even if you are given admission on second choice, you will still need to effect the changes by making Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti your first choice before clearance, so to be on the safe side, it’s very necessary and essential for you to make FPA your first choice. If you haven’t done this yet, please do it before obtaining the form.

6. DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR JAMB PROFILES IN CYBERCAFÉS.

There are some situations whereby you will be required to make some corrections on your Jamb profile; to change your name, gender, state, date of birth, change of course, change of institution etc. The only appropriate place to do all these is any Jamb-approved CBT center, not cyber cafes.

7. CALCULATE YOUR SCREENING GRADE.

To determine whether you are qualified for the course, first compute the grade point, which is the sum of your o’level and JAMB results. If your score is not up to the course cut-off mark, choose another course that falls within your grade range.

For example, if the SLT cut-off mark is 56, before you choose SLT during your PUTME registration, calculate your grade point first to know if you meet up and, if not, change your course to a less competitive course like food tech.

8. SUBJECT COMBINATION.

If you must make any mistake, the subject combination is not the type of mistake that can be rectified once you fall into this category. Forget about admission, whether you are a morning (full-time) or evening (part-time) applicant, if your subject combination doesn’t match the course you choose. You will be disqualified. 9. PART-TIME ADMISSION ISN’T AUTOMATIC.

There is a myth that once you obtain a part-time (evening program) form, your admission is guaranteed, which is not true. The fact is, if you apply for an evening or part-time form, your name will come up on the admission list, but that doesn’t guarantee your admission until an internal screening of credentials is conducted, so if you make all the previous mistakes stated above, you won’t be offered admission.

10. HND ASPIRANTS.

If you are an FPA product, my advice for you is to obtain the form immediately after the school announces it. Also, make sure you entered the correct details on your credentials. If you follow the instructions, whether you graduate with a pass or an upper credit, you will certainly gain admission. Adopoly does not segregate when it comes to giving admission.

11. ADMISSION IS NOT BY PROXY.

Monitor your registration yourself. Last year, an aspirant reported to us that he gave money to one of his brothers to help him with the registrations. Unfortunately, he was disappointed as his brother didn’t register him. Therefore, monitor your admission and registration yourself. Federal Poly Ado Admission is not by Proxy.

11. PROTECT YOUR BIO-DATA.

Never give out your password, login information, or privacy documents to anyone. In the absence of adequate information, Nigerian students make the worst decisions. Do not share your JAMB log-in details with third parties. Anybody can log in and reject your admission if he or she is your enemy, so keep your details private.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is it compulsory to make Adopoly your first choice? Yes, it is compulsory. If you are serious about gaining admission, make FPA your first choice. I will advise you to make these changes even before you apply for the form.

Does Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti consider ND candidates from other schools for HND admission? The answer is yes. As long as you meet up with a CGPA of at least 2.50, you will be considered for admission.

Can I apply for HND admission with a CGPA of below 2.50? Yes, you can apply. Adopoly will give you admission with the condition of having 2 years of industrial work experience.

Can Adopoly products who graduated in the 2020/2021 academic session apply for HND admission? Yes, you are eligible to apply for the 2022/2023 HND form provided you have no carryover.

Can I apply for HND admission pending when I clear my ND result? Yes, you can apply pending when you clear your ND result or pending when you will get your statement/notification of result, but you will need to present the result before you can be cleared for admission.

Can I get into Ado-Ekiti Federal Polytechnic with Awaiting result? No! You would have to present your results to be offered admission. Adopoly does not accept awaiting result.

What if I didn’t meet up with the cut-off mark? If you didn’t meet the required cut-off mark, you will be considered for evening (part-time) programme admission.

Does Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti run HND mass communication? For now, the answer is “No.”

Can I apply for admission without Jamb? Yes, that is a part-time admission.
