We Haven’t Increase Dues Yet- Nekede polytechnic SUG Clarifies

The Student Union government of the Federal polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo state, has denied increasing SUG dues from #600 to #1,000
According to SUG Director of finance, Comrade Okechi Bright, the news of the purported increment is untrue.
This was contained in a press statement dated 6th May 2022 signed by the student union government which in part reads,
“The fast circulating rumour of the increased SUG dues and new pattern of payment has been drawn to the notice of the SUG Director of Finance. However, this memo serves to notify the entire Nigerian Students to debunk any information of such and other related information that is not coming from the Office of the Director of Finance, SUG.

“Moreso, there is no increment in the SUG dues as the Students’ Union Government dues still remains #600 (Six hundred naira) only unless stated otherwise by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC).
“I, Comr. Barr. OKECHI BRIGHT J. the SUG Director of Finance, 2021/2022 Academic Session urge Nigerian students to be cautious of tattletale and blabbermouth and always discredit their fallacious information because information is power but accurate information is most powerful.
“The SUG Director of Finance will communicate Nigerian students in regards to any changes or development made on the payment of SUG dues when the need arises through the Director of Publicity of the Students’ Union Government, 2021/2022 academic session.”
