𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄-𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐒

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been advised to maintain a work environment free of rancor. The Vice Chancellor of the University of AfricaToru-orua (UAT), Professor Solomon Tamarabrakemi Ebobrah gave the advice when Corp Members attached to the University of Africa Toru-orua visited him to congratulate him on his appointment as the Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the UAT.
The Vice-Chancellor among other things charged the Corp Members to take the right decisions always as adults. He added that while they navigate this critical stage of transition into adulthood and independence, they should imbibe respect for their colleagues, especially the students who are the clients of the University.
Speaking further, the Vice-Chancellor noted that the Corp Members are stakeholders of the University and should behave as such, showing good examples. He urged them to discard the mindset to run away from the Country and join hands to build Nigeria to become a better place and not scavenge the system. He further encouraged them to self-develop, as that would equip them for a successful future, thus they should put in the extra in the ordinary to stand out.
Speaking during the meeting, the Registrar of the UAT, Dr. Akpoebi Adesi said Corp members are partners in progress with UAT, and as such, the Management is conscious of their needs and is currently working to improve their welfare.
Speaking on behalf of the Corp Members, Miss Adeoye Damilola Ruth, the Corp Liaison Officer appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for the audience granted them. She said the meeting was part of her duties are Corp Liaison Officer to create a communication bridge between the Management of the University and the Corp Members. She further congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his well deserved appointment as substantive Vice-Chancellor of the UAT.
High point of the meeting was the presentation of gift to the Vice-Chancellor by the Corp Members as a way of saying welcome.
