The ECOWAS Immersion Programme bridges this gap by equipping participants with practical skills, career growth opportunities, and financial empowerment.
Main Objectives
The initiative is designed to:
- Offer professional work experience in ECOWAS institutions and agencies.
- Strengthen employability by exposing graduates to international and regional career standards.
- Encourage deeper knowledge of ECOWAS policies, governance, and regional cooperation.
- Support participants with stipends during the immersion to ease financial pressure.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the ECOWAS Graduate Immersion Programme 2026, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an ECOWAS member state (Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Benin, Togo, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Cabo Verde).
- Be between 18 and 32 years old at the time of application.
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s and PhD holders are also eligible).
- Submit a Curriculum Vitae (PDF) and a Cover Letter highlighting career goals.
Available Positions
There are 80 available slots across ECOWAS institutions for the 2026 programme. Applicants can apply for a maximum of two positions. Sectors include:
- Information Technology (IT) and Data Management
- Agriculture and Food Security
- Public Health and Development
- Translation and Communication
- Project Management and Statistics
- Policy and Governance

- Review the list of available immersion positions.
- Select up to two positions that match your qualifications and interests.
- Prepare and upload the following documents:
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF.
