You Will Be Held Accountable For Self Behaviours and Actions – EKSPOLY Rector Admonishes Matriculants

MATRICULATING STUDENTS
The Rector, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, Prof. Johnson Kayode Adesodun has admonished the newly admitted students to ensure that they do all it takes to be well behaved in the campus, by paying total obedience to the rules and regulations guiding the institution and respect staff and others.
The Rector gave this admonition while addressing the Matriculants during the 2nd matriculation which took place on Friday. He encourage the matriculants to follow every laid down instruction stated in the students handbook. He added that doing all these would earn them a comfortable stay in the campus throughout their stay and proof them a true ambassador of the institution.
The Rector stressed further that, if any student is found to default any of the rule and regulation such person would have to dance to the tune of the music, by facing the disciplinary panel and would be giving appropriate punishment as stated in the handbook.
In his words “the best way to develop a positive identity and social sense is to embrace African cultures, values, customs, traditions and norm. Learn how to study, eat, drink, walk, dress, think, talk, communicate and cultivate the right habit. These variables amount to intelligence and character. Your background does not matter; neither does your economic status. EKSPOLY is offering you a chance to become somebody. The Management would try their best to make sure you become the better students. Be careful and don’t be at the mercy of peer pressure. You came here as an individual. Much as you may find friends useful, you need at times to be alone to turn your mind inward to know who you are. Some steps need to be taken alone”.
