Yabatech Governing Council Nominates Three(3) Names to FG for the Position of a Rector

The entire governing council of Yaba College of Technology(YABATECH) led by Prince Lateef Fagbemi has nominated three names from the thirty (30) applicants who applied for the position of a Rector to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, out of these three nominees the president is to appoint one as the Rector of Yabatech in which his tenure will commence in 2023.
The three names submitted to the president are chief lecturers from YABATECH who were graded in rankings at the end of the Interview that lasted for two days, Dr. (Engr) I.A Abdul of the department of Mechanical Engineering came first, followed by Dr. Lauretta Ofodile of the department of Bio-Science and lastly Dr. Okesoto Oyebamiji of the department of Urban and Regional planning who took third place.
Out of the 30 interested applicants, two professors, eight senior lecturers and 21 Polytechnic chief lecturers among them were 13 chief lecturers from YABATECH applied for the position.
