Wearing of ID Card is Now Mandatory for All Students, Says EDE POLY MGT, as Rector’s Cup Continues

The students’ union of the Federal Polytechnic Ede, led by its ably president, Comrade Adex, has disclosed that the suspended rector’s cup will continue on Thursday, December 15th 2022, and end on Thursday, December 22nd 2022.
The rector’s cup, according to the union, was suspended over security concerns.
Comrade Adex warned that drinking of alcohol, Indian hemp, and other social vices during the sports program and beyond remains banned, thereby urging the polytechnic students to always put on their identity cards when coming to the campus for proper identification.
“The students union leadership led by comr. Adex frowns at the suspended rector’s cup due to insecurity of lives and properties of the students populace on campus…
“The suspended rector’s cup will commence on Thursday 15th of December, 2022 and end Thursday 22nd of December, 2022 it is now prohibited for drinking of alcohol, Indian hemp and all other social vices during this program and beyond on school campuses.”
“Students are advised to always be on their student I.D card whenever they are on campus for security purposes, this is not only for rector’s cup but this has been passed to law that students should always be on their I.D cards on campus in order to avoid embarrassment from school security officers”
The union added, “Any students found wanting during the Rector’s Cup shall face the wrath of law”
