UNIOSUN begins top-up programs for HND

The Osun State University (UNIOSUN), on Friday, disclosed that it has begun top-up program for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders, allowing them to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
Speaking at the matriculation of 233 part-time students, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement O. Adebooye, noted that the program will span six semesters, in just 24 months.
The VC who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, academic research, innovation and partner, Professor Adetunji Kehinde, noted that the initiative is available in various fields, including Accounting, Building, Sociology, and other disciplines offered by the University.
He also reiterated the schools commitment to maintaining high standards of discipline, warning against involvement in vices such as examination malpractice and cultism.
In his words, “I am pleased to announce that our University now offers a top-up programme that allows holders of Higher National Diplomas (HND) to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in just 24 months, spanning six semesters. This initiative is available in various fields, including Accounting, Building, Sociology, and other disciplines offered by the University. This opportunity reflects our unwavering commitment to providing flexible and accessible education for all.
“Let me be unequivocal: any student found engaging in negative vices such as examination malpractice, cultism, or other forms of misconduct will face the full weight of disciplinary action, including possible dismissal from the University. We take immense pride in our zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that tarnishes the reputation of this esteemed institution.
“However, as part-time students, many of whom are matured individuals juggling multiple responsibilities, I am confident that you will exemplify good behaviour and remain focused on your academic goals.”
