TASUED FINAL YEAR STUDENT REPORTEDLY KILLED BY SUSPECTED CULTISTS ON LAST EXAM DAY (VIDEO)

A devastating incident occurred at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, as a 400-level student, Ola Fabiyi, was brutally murdered by suspected cultists on his last day of examinations.
According to eyewitnesses, Fabiyi, a senator in the school’s Student Union Government (SUG), was dragged out of his examination hall by his attackers in the presence of his colleagues. He was assaulted, stabbed, and later taken to a nearby bush where he was shot to death.
Security personnel arrived at the scene after the attackers had fled, and Fabiyi was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The victim was celebrating his birthday and preparing to ‘sign out’ from the institution on the day of the incident.
The university authorities and police have yet to issue a statement regarding the tragic event. The incident has sent shockwaves through the campus community, leaving students and staff in a state of mourning and disbelief.
Cultism, a bane in our society, has claimed yet another young life, highlighting the urgent need for students in higher institutions and the wider society to shun these dangerous groups. Cults promote violence, intimidation, and destruction, undermining the very fabric of our communities.
As at the time of this report, it is unclear whether the late student was a member of a cult group or not. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and the motives of the perpetrators.
The students populace is urging the authorities to thoroughly investigate this heinous crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. The school authority also appeal to students and the wider community to reject cultism and embrace peace, unity, and progress.
