POLY IBADAN GETS NBTE APPROVAL TO RUN 38 COURSES
NBTE ACCREDITED 35 COURSES FOR THE POLYTECHNIC IBADAN
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), has accredited 38 new courses for the polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo state.
The team accredited 35 of the institution’s ND and HND program.
In his welcome address on the 20th of April, 2022, at the Assembly hall,he accreditation team in a grand style at the Assembly hall, the Rector of the institution, Prof. Adebiyi Kazeem, that the accreditation process is a continuous process directed towards the growth of the institution on a daily basis.
“The accreditation process should have come up since two years ago but it wasn’t feasible due to some hindrances. The exercise is not a “witch-hunting” exercise but it is aimed at improving academic excellence of institutions across the country”.
Prof. Adebiyi also appreciated the governor of the state, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, while highlighting some notable developments in the institution, like the two 300 capacity storey buildings funded by Tetfund, the 200 capacity bankers hall funded by the Chartered Institute of Bankers, among others, which he claimed were achievable with the support of the governor.
While concluding his address, the Rector lauded the NBTE team for their recommendations which have yielded increase in Infrastructural Development.
Led by the Director of Polythecnic Program, NBTE Kaduna, Arch Ngbede Ogor, the NBTE team included Hon. Ọlatunji Saheed Ajibade, Engr. Isola Albert, Engr. O.A Idowu, Engr. Adenike among others.
In attendance at the program is the Rector of the institution, Prof Kazeem Adebiyi, Deputy Rector, Mrs. Abiodun Olubamiwa, the Registrar, Mrs Modupe Fawale, Chief Librarian, Dr. Samuel Ajala, Directors, Dean of faculties and HODs.
