The award presentation, held at OPay’s Lagos headquarters, celebrated the creativity of Nigerians who showcased the platform’s advanced security features through viral social media content. Influential creators including Veekee James, Folagade Banks, and Taaooma were present to witness the unveiling of the ₦1 million grand prize champions.

The winners emerged after their videos gained the highest engagement across Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, highlighting OPay’s commitment to rewarding innovation and promoting safe online transactions.

Winners Share Their Excitement

Udeng Bennet Etudo, whose TikTok entry went viral, expressed surprise at his victory.
“When I joined the challenge, I never imagined I would win. Seeing my video go viral and then receiving this prize is unbelievable. OPay really pays,” he said.

Another winner, Akindele Boluwatife, whose Instagram post also gained massive traction, explained how she helped others participate.
“I won during the second week of the campaign and later assisted about 15 people to create their videos. Four of them also won! It’s exciting to see OPay keep its promises,” she said.

OPay revealed that more than 2,000 Nigerians have already been rewarded with cash prizes and exclusive merchandise, with a total prize pool exceeding ₦10 million.
