OGITECH REGISTRY EMPOWERS NON-TEACHING STAFF THROUGH SPECIALIZED TRAINING SESSION

In a bid to enhance job delivery in the administrative framework of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, the Registry Department organized a day-long training session for non-teaching staff members. The event, themed “Towards Effective Job Delivery in Polytechnic Administration,” took place on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024 at Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun Twin Lecture Theater.
The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, in his opening remarks, commended the organizers, particularly the Convener Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, the Acting Registrar for her diligence and proactive approach. He encouraged the non-teaching staff to actively participate in the well-structured training aimed at improving job delivery skills.
Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, in her welcome address, expressed gratitude to Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, the Rector, for endorsing the training initiative.
Mrs. Johnson emphasized the practical skills, innovative tools, and actionable strategies tailored to enhance job performance, urging staff members to embrace the opportunity for self-development.
The training sessions commenced with Dr. Kayode Momodu, the former Registrar of Yaba College of Technology, kick started the training session with the topic “Role and Responsibilities of Secretaries, Executive, Administrative officers, and Other Junior Staff in the Polytechnic Administration.” He provided comprehensive insights into the various roles within the Polytechnic administrative framework.
Dr. (Mrs.) A. F. Osore, former Registrar, the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, followed with a lecture titled “An Overview of the Registry as a Hub of Driving Polytechnic Education in Contemporary Time.”
Dr. Osore offered practical illustrations and knowledge essential for successful job delivery.
The last speaker, Mr. Emmanuel. O. Adeleye, former Registrar of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, addressed “Minutes Taking, Reports Writing, and Presentation Skills,” providing valuable guidance on effective writing and presentation techniques.



Mr. Oladimeji Owolabi, Deputy Registrar Establishment, delivered the closing remarks and vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and stakeholders for the successful training. He extended appreciation to Dr. Abiodun Oluseye for his leadership and support, congratulating all Registry staff members for their active participation and commitment to enhancing job delivery.
The training session concluded on a high note, with participants poised to implement newfound knowledge and skills in their respective roles within the institute and anywhere they find themselves.
