NBTE Pushes Digital Transformation with Quality Assurance Workshop—Here’s What It Means for Institutions

In a significant push toward digital transformation, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has hosted a one-day quality assurance sensitization workshop aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of its digital platform.
The workshop, which brought together key stakeholders, focused on streamlining institutional operations through digitalization. Attendees were introduced to NBTE’s digital system, designed to enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and facilitate seamless communication between institutions and the board.
Speaking at the event, NBTE Executive Secretary underscored the urgency of embracing digital reforms. “This transition is long overdue. Moving to a digital system will reduce costs, improve service delivery, and minimize administrative challenges,” he stated.
Professor Idris Bugaje, represented by his Special Assistant, Dr. Diya’udeen Basheer Hasan, reaffirmed NBTE’s commitment to leveraging technology for institutional effectiveness. “Our stakeholders need to be on board as we implement this digital reform,” he emphasized.
Director of Polytechnic Programmes, Dr. Fatima Kabir Umar, encouraged participants to fully engage with the training, stressing that digitalization will enhance quality assurance processes. She urged institutions to share their experiences and challenges to ensure a smooth transition.
With this initiative, NBTE is reinforcing its commitment to modernizing Nigeria’s technical and vocational education sector, ensuring institutions benefit from a more efficient, technology-driven system.
