The National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) OGUN State axis has called on the school management of DS ADEGBENRO ICT Polytechnic to sack Mr Sanusi Olawale and Mr Taiwo Rasheed the Dean of Management Sciences and HOD of Public Administration department over the threat to life and victimisation of the SUG president.NANS accused the polytechnic lecturers of threatening SUG president and president of Public administration department openly because they turn down their request to withdraw from the association account for their personal use.According to a press statement statement obtained by POLYTV, Comrade Damilola Simeon Kehinde (Da Osmos) NANS JCC Chairman, OGUN State axis has summoned an emergency meeting to compel the school authority to sack the said lecturers for the atrocities committed in the polytechnic. The statement Reads:“The report of the threat to live and studentship of the SUG President, the President of the Public Administration department and several other students at the DSA ICT Polytechnic Itori, came to our notice through the SUG President who informed us about the toxic attitude of Mr Sanusi Olawale and Mr Taiwo Rasheed who as the Dean of Management Sciences and HOD of Public Administration department have chosen to victimise students unjustly.
ABDU GUSAU POLYTECHNIC TALATA MAFARA 2021/2022 APPROVED SCHOOL FEES“We have it on record that Mr Sanusi and Mr Taiwo, have always had undue interference into the activities of the National Association of Public Administration Students Association (NAPAD). Because of their position as the Dean and HOD of the department, they had compelled the President of the NAPAD to withdraw from the Association Account for their personal use as usual of them in the past. And because of the refusal of the President to do their bidding, his executives were coerced to impeach him and he was threatened with Carry Over.“This occurrence led to the President of the SUG releasing a statement of counter that it is illegal, criminal and unacceptable for any individual to take from the association account without accountability in the interest of the members of the association. And that the impeachment pronouncement is null and void.

We have not forgotten the murder of a lecturer of the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the institution, Engineer Mufutau on November 16,2020 which perpetrators are yet to be unraveled. And this kind of open threat to life raises our utmost concern. We went for an enquiry visit at the campus yesterday, Thursday 28th of April, 2022. The revelations we heard about the man was quite bothering and demanding of radical action. Firstly, the man, Sanusi Olawale, is an establish autocrat on that campus and he was responsible for the unjust victimisation of two ex SUG Presidents of the institution, Comrade Mohammed Ibrahim (2013/14) and Ayibiowu Michael Akinrinde (2014/15) for defending the interests of the students against his personal greed.“Secondly, the man has a record of most failed course as he is fond of punishing female students who turn down his sexual advancement with their results.
Thirdly, he makes discriminate rules outside the polytechnic laws to victimise students. A vivid instance is how he stopped tens of students from writing his course’s examination on June 1st,2021 which resulted to a massive protest and unrest on the campus the following day as the highway leading to the institution was blocked. It was also gathered that after the protest, over 60% of Students failed from the department as a result of the protest and the punishment from Mr Sanusi Olawale and his cabal. In addition to these were other personal victimisation stories several students revealed to us at the instance of our visit. All of these allegations are what we have facts to backup. “Against this background, we found it noteworthy to strike an action on that campus to call for the dismissal of the Mr Olawale Sanusi and his cronies and a panel of enquiry be setup to investigate some other atrocities committed by him and others of his kind on that campus.“This therefore calls for a radical discussion in the campus since the management of the institution has refused to call him to order as we heard from reliable source that Mr Sanusi Olawale is taking advantage of his closeness with the Rector to carry out his criminal acts unchecked. “On this note, all Senators (SU Presidents), executive of NANS Ogun JCC, and other concerned students bodies are invited to an extraordinary emergence senate meeting on Monday 9th of May,2022 at the DS Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori. We should lace up our radical outfits for a possible shutdown of the Polytechnic should the management refuses to heed our demands on the said date.”
