What is College of Health all About? 

The College of Health Technology, also known as the School of Health, is an institution that offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates in the medical field. Graduates from the school of health provide solutions to human health problems.

The college focuses on the study of the human body both in physical and biological terms. The school of health is overseen by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and other professional boards.

Courses offered in the college are basically health-related courses that take between 2 and 5 years. ND courses are between 2 and 3 years, while HND courses are 2 years. Graduates can undergo the NYSC scheme after their HND programs in some courses.

The School of Health Technology is meant for science students only; that is, for you to be offered admission to any college of Health Technology, you must have relevant credits in physics, chemistry, biology, English, and mathematics. These five subjects are compulsory to gain admission to NDI. 

There are three types of Health Colleges in Nigeria: the Federal School of Health (owned by the FG), the State School of Health (owned by the state government), and the Private School of Health (managed by proprietors).
