IMAP Management Committee Pays Congratulatory Visit to the New President of ASUP

The Management Committee under the leadership of the Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr. Justina Anjiode Kotso CLN, (Tauraruwan Ilimin Matan Jihar Nasarawa) led other members of Management Committee of the Institution on a congratulatory visit to the newly elected President of the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics (ASUP) Comrade Shammah Sunday Kpanja who recently emerged as National President of ASUP from Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, at his Office in Lafia, Monday, 22nd January, 2024.
Speaking during the visit the Rector, IMAP, Dr. Justina Anjiode Kotso CLN, said they came to congratulate him on his emergence as the elected President of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) as a Staff of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia and one of the sons of Nasarawa State.
According to the Rector, “we are privileged to have you in our midst and also to assure you of our unwavering support and cooperation at all times. I urge you to continue to cooperate and implore dialogue with constituted authorities as a means of resolving dispute rather than confrontation that hardly yield any fruitful results,” She said.
In a goodwill message, Deputy Rector Administration, Ahamad, Jubrin Ibrahim, congratulated the new President of ASUP describing him as a comrade to the core but liberal decisions. He assure him of Management support to succeed in his national assignment.
On his part Deputy Rector Academic, Louis John Ogah, also congratulated the President of ASUP and commended him for embracing dialogue as a unionist to achieve his aim and pledge to support him.
In the same vain, Director Academic Planning Dr. Dauda Ibrahim thanked and attributed the peace we have been enjoying on campus is courtesy of comrade Kpanja and wished him success as he pilots the affairs the affairs of the Union.
Other speakers also used the medium to congratulates the new President of ASUP and wished him well in his new national assignment.
In his goodwill message, the Zonal coordinator of ASUP represented by the Chapter Chairman of Federal Polytechnic Ida, Engr. Egubunu Danladi described the new President of ASUP as very knowledgeable of the Union, peacemaker, trustworthy personality and man of action.
Responding the brand new President of ASUP Comrade Shammah Sunday Kpanja thanked the Almighty God, the Rector and esteemed members of Management Committee for the great honour done to him and for supporting him to become the President of ASUP, stressing that these show of love will continue to remain indelible in his mind. He singled out the Rector and thanked her for supporting him to achieved his aspiration. He promised to be good ambassador of the institution, and Nasarawa State.
The new President of ASUP dedicated his victory to God Almighty, to the entire Academic Staff of Nigerian Polytechnics and to IMAP under the purposeful leadership of the Rector, Dr. Justina Kotso.
Highlight of the occasion was prayer session for the new President.
