ILARO POLY Students Cries Out for Help As Student losses Eye to Robbery Attack

….Appeal to NAPS for quick intervention
A student of the federal polytechnic ilaro, ogun state, has narrate how suspected armed robbers attacked his lodge off-campus last night and cart away belongings.
He said, “The armed robbers on midnight Sunday gain entrance into our apartment through the window, they destroyed the burglary and forced their way in.
“They collected all our belongings and still injured me with gun on my eye”
Some of the Students who spoke with POLYTV blamed the school management for the incessant attack on students stressing that the school management has not done anything to help this matter which is getting out of hand.
Many student living off-campus has fled their lodge for the fear of being robbed while those who stayed in the polytechnic community are subjected to attack everyday.
The polytechnic students has however appeal to the National Association of polytechnic students (NAPS), National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) for quick intervention over the incessant robbery in the polytechnic community.
The school Management Reacting to the incident in a statement through the DSA said, “All security agencies are collaborating to curb the menace. The CDA, CDC and other stakeholders have been charged to rise against the evil and satanic beings disturbing the peace of our communities.
“The students union body will be constituted and join the struggle. It is a collective struggle against these satanic forces. Once again, I assure you with all sincerity that very soon the battle will be over. Please don’t stay late in the night beyond 10pm, lock your doors firmly and promptly report suspicious movements to the numbers provided. Your lives and property matter to us.”
