Fedpoly Ado Student Union Breaks Silence on Chaos at CBT Centre

The Student Union Government of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has reacted to the incident that occurred in the institution on Friday where some students were injured while trying to gain entrance to the CBT hall for their citizenship education.
The SUG President, Comrade Okolie Joseph urged the students to be calm, promising that the security officer who maltreated students during the conduct of the examination will be sanctioned.
Comrade Joseph in a Press statement obtained by POLYTV confirmed that students who are victims of the incident have been taken to the polytechnic health centre for treatment.
The statement reads “We the Students Union sincerely apologise for not bringing this report on time. As it was due to making reports on the incident to necessary authority…
“Due to the incident that occurred this afternoon at the conference hall, which was between Students and the Security Operative, through which a Security man was seen beating Students, has lead to serious agitation from Students in general…
“As result of this, the Student Union Government has expressed it’s total dissatisfaction on the way and manner Students are been treated through the unconducive examination process at the Digital Library CBT centre and on campus in general, and has laid down a report on the matter and has also laid a report on the actions of the Security man, calling for immediate sanction by the necessary authority.”

The statement added, “At this moment, we urge the Nigerian Students to keep calm as the Student Union Government is seriously on the matter as necessary actions will be taken by the necessary authority. Students who sustained injuries through the incident, have since been taken to the health center for medical attention.”
