Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa (FPN) Approved Academic Calendar for 2023/2024 Academic Session

This is to inform all students of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa and the general public that the school management has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2023/2024 academic session.

All returning HNDII and NDII non SIWES students are to resume to campus from 14th to 18th August 2023.

Lectures for the first Semester 2023/2024 academic session will commence for both new and returning students on Monday 21st August 2023.

The 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony for new students has been fixed for Saturday 30th September 2023.

First semester examination for all students excluding NDII SIWES Students will commence from 20th November 2023 to 8th December 2023.

First semester Break – 18th December 2023 to 8th January 2024.

Second semester 2023/2024 lectures will commence on 8th January 2024

Second semester 2023/2024 examination will commence from 15th April 2024 to 3rd May 2024.

Sales of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence in May 2024.

Meanwhile, the first semester 2023/2024 academic session will commence on Monday 20th November 2023 for NDII SIWES students.

First semester examination for NDII SIWES students – 19th to 29th February 2024.

Second semester 2023/2024 academic session will commence on Monday 11th March 2024 for SIWES students.

Second semester examination for SIWES students will commence From 20th to 31st May 2024.

Below are the details of the academic Calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session.

1. HNDII, NDII (NON-SIWES STUDENTS)

7	30^th September 2023	Matriculation
8	3^rd – 6^th October 2023	First continuous assessment
9	16^th October 2023	Departmental board meets to consider second semester 2022/2023 results
10	17^th October 2023	School board meets to consider second semester 2022/2023 results

11	26^th – 27^th October 2023	Regular academic board meets to consider second semester 2022/2023 results
12	6^th – 10^th November 2023	Second continuous assessment
13	13^th – 17^th November 2023	Revision week
14	20^th November 2023 – 8^th December 2023	First semester examination
15	11^th – 16^th December 2023	40^th year anniversary celebration / convocation ceremony for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 graduands

9	15^th – 26^th march 2024	Rector/ departmental football cup competition
10	25^th – 28^th March 2024	Second continuous assessment

12	15^th April 2024 – 3^rd may 2024	second semester examination
13	6^th May 2024 – 6^th September 2024	SIWES
14	May 2024	Sales of admission forms for 2024/2025 academic session
