Federal polytechnic Kaduna Students Call for Revival of Social Activities on Campus

Students at Kaduna Polytechnic are urging the school management to revive social activities on campus, citing the benefits of extracurricular engagement for academic success, mental health, and school spirit.
In a statement, Joe Isco, a student journalist, highlighted the importance of social activities in fostering a sense of belonging, teamwork, and communication among students. He noted that the absence of social activities has left a void in the school experience, and urged the management to take action to review and receive social activities.
Isco acknowledged the school’s efforts to promote decent dressing, suggesting that strict measures can be put in place to ensure that events like “rag day” are conducted in a responsible manner.
The call comes as students increasingly prioritize extracurricular activities as essential to their overall educational experience. By engaging in social activities, students can develop essential skills, build lasting bonds, and promote school spirit.
The management of Kaduna Polytechnic has yet to respond to the students’ call, but the move is seen as a positive step towards creating a more engaging and inclusive campus experience.
