Federal Polytechnic Ekowe Announces School Resumption After ASUP Strike

The management of the Federal polytechnic Ekowe, Baylesa state, has announced the resumption of Academic activities after reaching a resolution with the polytechnic lecturers and non academic staff union (ASUP and NASU) over prolonged strike.
According to the latest memo from the school management, academic activities will continue effectively from Friday 25th August 2023.
The memo reads:
“Sequel to the Resolutions reached by the fact finding Committee of the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP), Non- Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU) and Student Union Government in Federal Polytechnic Ekowe.”
“The Rector and Management of Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe has directed that all Academic activities should commence effectively on Friday, 25thAugust, 2023….
“In view of the above, all students are to return back to campus for normal academic work from Monday, 28th August, 2023.”
“Management wishes all staff and student successful resumption.”
