Federal Polytechnic Ede Announces Resumption of Academic Activities for the 2024/2025 Session

The Federal Polytechnic Ede has officially announced the resumption of academic activities and released its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, outlining key activities and events for both fresh and returning students. The calendar, designed to ensure a smooth academic year, highlights important dates and activities for the first and second semesters.

First Semester Highlights

The academic year commences on Monday, 27th January, 2025, with online registration and medical screening for all students. Resumption for the new session is scheduled for Sunday, 2nd February, 2025, followed by a week of result verification at departmental and school levels for fresh students from Monday, 3rd February to Friday, 7th February, 2025.

Lectures for the first semester will begin on Monday, 10th February, 2025, and run for 14 weeks, ending on Saturday, 17th May, 2025. Key events within the semester include:

• Matriculation Ceremony: Friday, 18th April, 2025.
• Continuous Assessments: 10th – 15th March, 2025, and 5th – 10th May, 2025.
• Revision Week: 19th – 24th May, 2025.
• Examinations: 26th May – 6th June, 2025.

The semester also includes various inaugural lectures, regular academic board meetings, and entrepreneurship training to equip students with essential skills.

Second Semester Highlights

The second semester begins with the resumption of academic activities on Sunday, 29th June, 2025. Registration and lectures for the semester will span from Monday, 30th June, 2025, to Saturday, 27th September, 2025. Students will engage in activities such as:

• Departmental/Student Union Elections: 2nd – 6th September, 2025.
• Continuous Assessments: 4th – 9th August, 2025, and 8th – 13th September, 2025.
• Entrepreneurship Training: 6th – 11th October, 2025.

A one-week revision period is scheduled from 13th – 17th October, 2025, followed by the semester examinations, which will take place from 20th October to 3rd November, 2025.

• Commencement of SIWES: 10th November, 2025 – 2nd February, 2026.
• Processing of Results and Academic Board Meetings: Throughout November and December 2025.

Scheduled Meetings
