Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan 2022/2023 National Diploma (ND) and HND Form is out

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan Full-Time Programme (Four Semesters) and Part time Programme (Six Semesters) Weekends Only.

PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE ARE:

1. ND in Forestry Technology

2. ND Agricultural Technology

3. ND Horticultural Technology

4. ND Wood & Paper Technology 5. HND Forestry Technology

6. HND Horticulture & Landscape Technology

7. HND Wood Technology

8. HND Agricultural Extension & Management 9. HND Crop Production Technology

10. Short-Term Training on Silviculture, Poultry, fishery, forest guard course Sheep & Goat, Quail, Piggery, Snailery, (No Academic Qualifications Required).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

(A) NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN FORESTRY TECHNOLOGY: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The 5 subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two subjects from Biology/Agric Science, English Language, Geography, Technical Drawing. At least, a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics is required.

(B) NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The 5 subjects must include Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any 3 of the following: Chemistry, Economics, English Language, Geography, Physics and Technical Drawing. Credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.

C. NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN HORTICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY: Same as (B) above.

(D) NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN WOOD AND PAPER TECHNOLOGY: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The 5 subjects are Chemistry, Mathematics and any 3 of the followings: Physics, Geography, Wood Work, Metal Work, Technical Drawing, English Language, Agric. Science/Biology. At least passes in Physics, Biology/Agric. Science and a credit pass in English are compulsory.

(E) Candidates must also sit and pass the JAMB UTME examination at the required cut-off mark for all National Diploma Programmes.

FOR HND PROGRAMMES

IN ADDITION TO (A), (B), (C), (D) AND (E) above;

(F) A minimum of Pass (CGPA 2.0 and above) or lower Credit Pass (C.G.PA. 2.50 and above) in the cognate National Diploma obtained from accredited Programme of a recognized Institution.

(G) At least two (2) Years Industrial Training for holders of pass grade and One (1) Year Industrial Training for holders. of lower Credit grade and above.

(H) NCE General Agriculture and ND Statistics or Cooperative Studies for HND Agricultural Extension and Management. (1) ND Science Lab Tech. acceptable for HND Horticulture and Landscape Technology (HLT).
