Ebonyi Polytechnic Mgt. Pays a visit to the Ebonyi State Governor

The Management of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic today 21st November paid a visit to the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt.Hon Ogbonna Nwifuru
At the visit, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has expressed concern over the quality of graduates from the nation’s polytechnic
He said the core mandate of polytechnics was to train technicians that will stand the test of time, but pointed out that most graduates from the institutions are not living up to expectations.
” Have you ever sat down to discuss with graduates from your institution to find out their ultimate value, because somebody who claims to be a graduate of polytechnic and cannot handle basic technical problem, it means we have a long way to go “
The Governor who noted that institutions are rated based on their graduates charged the management of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana to go back to drawing board and come up with innovations that will improve the quality of their graduates.
The Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Felix Attah said they were in the governor’s office to congratulate him on his emergence as governor and to appreciate him for steps so far taken to move the State forward.
” I am rest assured that you will apply your wealth of experience and leadership qualities as former Speaker of the State Assembly to provide good governance to the people”.
Dr Attah solicited the support of the State Government on areas of transportation, and power supply.
