Call for Applications: Federal Government Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) 2025

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially launched the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) 2025, a landmark initiative designed to strengthen the nation’s creative and cultural industries. The program offers funding support of up to $100,000 for creative businesses, alongside opportunities for job creation and business mentorship.
Approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and implemented through the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, the CEDF aims to unlock the potential of Nigeria’s vibrant creative sector as a driver of economic growth and global cultural influence.
Objectives of the CEDF 2025
The initiative seeks to:
- Stimulate growth in creative and cultural industries.
- Provide capital support to businesses in film, music, fashion, publishing, gaming, cultural tourism, and related fields.
- Expand production capacity and help creative businesses access new markets.
- Establish new financing models for entrepreneurs through intellectual property securitization.
- Create jobs and sustainable livelihoods, particularly for young people.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to individuals, businesses, and institutions across the creative economy, including:
- Writers and publishers
- Artists and fashion designers
- Filmmakers and directors
- Gaming studios
- Cultural tourism operators
- Training institutions
- Media and digital platforms
- Legal, logistics, and support service providers
Benefits of the Fund
Beneficiaries of the CEDF will not only gain access to large-scale funding but also mentorship and support to grow their businesses. By investing strategically in the sector, the government intends to position Nigeria’s creative industry as a major player in both economic diversification and cultural diplomacy.

The deadline for applications is September 1, 2025.
