DSA Violating Our Right Because We Have No Active ‘SUG ‘ – ILARO POLY Student Alleges
A student of the federal polytechnic Ilaro, ogun state, who spoke on condition of anonymity with POLYTV has alleged the POLYTECHNIC DSA’S of violating students right under the guise of “dressing code.”
The student said that the polytechnic DSA threaten to expel him from the school because of his hairstyle.
In a message to POLYTV, he wrote,
” There are so many issues ILARO POLY students are facing, From DSA, They harass us and violate our rights as a student and if we speak up they threaten to expel us.
Normally, the school have rules and regulations on dressing code and in the rules Nothing like ‘No hairstyles’ was stated in the dressing code.
Today I was stopped by the DSA because of my punk hairstyle, I was forced to barb my hair after seizing my phone and identity card.
Had it been We have an active SUG president, all these would not have Happened.” The student said.

Those who made it only stand by it…I'm not surprised with the harassment even for no reason they just stop student and request for I.D for seizure WHO DOES THAT?

Don't mind him jare , normally the security personnel behave somehow at times but most of the time they won't stop you if nothing is wrong with you , his hair might be rough or look unkept so they have to him to always look good and neat , at least we have some guys plaiting hair in this school without any problem , and if any security personnel harass you or do something wrong to a student ,if he or she knows he/she is right , she can walk to DSA office and report the security , I'm 100% sure that that the security will be punished if he is wrong but most of them won't be able to complain cause they know that they are wrong
