Dr. Ismaila Badmus Emerges As Yabatech New Deputy Rector, Academics

Dr. Ismaila Badmus of the Department of Mechanical Engineering has emerged as the new Deputy Rector, Academics at Yaba College of Technology. His emergence came during an emergency Academic Board meeting held on Tuesday where he pulled 75 votes as against 13 votes pulled by his opponent, Dr. Mrs. P Ehirheme of the Department of Office Technology and Management
A native of Ibadan, Oyo State, Dr. Badmus joined the service of Yaba College of Technology in 1997 as Lecturer 2 and rose to the enviable position of chief lecturer in 2013.
Dr. Badmus, a former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering holds a BSc degree(2nd class division) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, MSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Lagos, and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, from the University of Ibadan.
Dr. Badmus is a registered engineer with COREN and has published a number of scholarly papers in both local and international journals.
