
The College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia, Nasarawa State, has officially released its approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session. Summer Session (2023/2024)
The summer session will commence in January 2025, with registration and lectures lasting one week. Summer examinations are scheduled for January 20–24, 2025, followed by a week of marking and result compilation, concluding by February 1, 2025.
First Semester (2024/2025 Session)
Key activities for the first semester include:
- Resumption Dates:
New students: January 19, 2025.
Returning ND I and HND II students: January 26, 2025.
Registration:
New students will undergo a two-week registration period from January 22 to February 5, 2025.
Lectures: Semester lectures will begin on February 10, 2025, and span 12 weeks.
Examinations: First-semester examinations are scheduled to take place from May 26 to June 6, 2025, following a week of revision and examination preparation.The matriculation ceremony for fresh students will hold on April 12, 2025.
Second Semester (2024/2025 Session)
The second semester will begin on June 30, 2025, with 12 weeks of lectures. Other significant activities include:
- Departmental/Student Union Elections:frScheduled for September 2–6, 2025.
Revision Week:** October 6–11, 2025.
Examinations:** The second-semester examinations will hold from October 20 to November 3, 2025.
- SIWES and Summer Resumption
The calendar also includes the commencement of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), scheduled for September 18, 2025, and running for 16 weeks. Summer activities for the 2024/2025 session will resume on September 29, 2025.
