Breaking: Zamfara Polytechnic Cancels 2021/2022 Academic Session

The Academic Board of The Federal Polytechnic kaura Namoda after the emergency meeting held on 23rd June 2022 has canceled the 2021/2022 academic Calendar stressing that the Polytechnic has suffered a setback due to Covid19, insecurity and ASUP strike.
The school management stated that the remaining 4 months in the year 2022 cannot contain the 2021/2022 academic activities thus it became necessary to skip the 2021/2022 academic session and continue with the 2022/2023 academic session.
As a result of this, the newly admitted students of 2021/2022 academic session may be merged with the 2022/2023 academic session which will commence in September 2022.

This development was confirmed to POLYTV in a Memo dated 23rd June 2022 which in part reads,
“The Academic Board at its Special Meeting held on Thursday 23 June, 2022observed that the Academic activities had suffered both Covid 19 and Seven (7) Months Zamfara State shut down
“That the remaining four (4) Months cannot cover the 2021/2022 Academic Session..
The Board decided to cancel 2021/2022 Academic Session so as to commence the 2022/2023 Academic Session in September, 2022.”
