ASUP Commend Rector as 20 Academic Scholars Benefits From Tetfund Sponsorship

The Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr. Justina Anjiode Kotso said the Polytechnic has not benefited from tetfund scholarship since 2019. She noted that with the intervention of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule Governor Nasarawa state and Visitor to the Polytechnic and Management of the Institution the dream has become a reality.
Dr. Kotso explained that out of the 20 beneficiaries of tetfund 13 will be going for their Ph’D, while 5 Masters degree, 1 post-doctorate and 1 for benchmark respectively.
Rector of the Polytechnic maintained that 6 of the 20 beneficiaries will be going to foreign Universities for their studies while the remaining 13 beneficiaries will pursue their studies in various Universities across the country.
Dr. Justina Kotso called on the beneficiaries especially those going to foreign countries to use the opportunity in projecting the image of Nigeria, “We have the previledge of this sponsorship let us go out there and be good ambassadors, those that are going outside the country please, be good ambassadors of Nigeria and come back in time to set down what you have benefited so that others also can go”, she said.
In his remarks Deputy Rector Administration Ahmad Jubrin Ibrahim thanked the Rector for the landmark achievements in the Institution and advised the beneficiaries to be patience.
On his part the Chairman of the Academic Staff of Polytechnics (ASUP) Comrade Sylvester Aku commended the Rector and her Management Team on their efforts toward promoting the welfare of the workers.
Speaking on behalf of the tetfund sponsorship beneficiaries Engr. Obande Jonathan who is also proceeding for his Ph’D on high-voltage engineering at the University Science Malisia said they will use the opportunity to protect the image of the Institution, Nasarawa state and Nigeria.
